The project was made possible by the generous support of the Alliance for the Study of the Holocaust, Sonoma State University, and by Dr. Elaine Leeder, Dean of Social Sciences at Sonoma State. Major funding was provided by David Salm, a Sonoma County businessman, contributions from private citizens, and in-kind donations from businesses. Work on the monument design and fabricated spanned a three year period and was the primary focus of my studio work from 2007-2009.
