Arc of the Atlas is made up of thousands of sheets of stacked archival microprint paper- the same material used for making Dreaming of Machu Picchu- carved into a spinal form capped with bronze in the shape of the atlas (the first vertebrae). The tip of the bronze sacrum balances the sculpture on a stainless steel base.
