One Becomes Many is fashioned out of 2500 18-inch long x ¼-inch welded stainless steel rods.
Reflecting back to my decades long teaching career, I began to ponder the synergy that exists when one’s passions and skills are shared with many and how, in turn, those many individuals disperse those ideas to others, completing the cycle. I saw the connection between how the seeds of our thoughts/ideas/actions are sown across the population similar to the way a dandelion scatters its seeds. New life evolves when those seeds are germinated and spread. Plus, I wanted to make a sculpture as an expression of joy and gratitude for the many students I had the pleasure of working with.
